Artist Statement
DJ Stiles captures the queer experience through bold pop art with stylized portraits, clean lines, and vibrant curated colour palettes. Each piece blends humour, social commentary, and personal storytelling, with colour choices that amplify the narrative.

Inspired by the Pop Art movement, queer culture, urban Toronto, Colombian street art, and a parade of inside jokes, DJ’s work celebrates queer men, glamorous women, and fierce drag performers.
He has presented five solo shows and exhibited widely across Toronto, with venues including The Freedom Factory, Super Wonder Gallery, and Evergreen Brickworks. DJ studied art history and architecture at the University of Toronto and now creates from studios in Toronto and Medellín.
